Interior Designer

Teri Maher Interiors is growing and looking for an organized, experienced Interior Designer to support the Principal and who will thrive in a boutique company.  The Interior Designer contributes to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of client relations and project implementation.

Location: Waitsfield, VT + remote

Position: Interior Designer (up to 30 hours per week).

Salary commensurate with experience.

 Qualifications:

·       Bachelor or Associates Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.

·       2 years of experience, residential preferred.

·       Positive, friendly and professional manner.

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with a 3D program preferred - SketchUp, Adobe or other.

·       Communicate with vendors and track orders.

·       Expertise in developing timeline and schedule for projects.

·       Expertise in creating and managing budgets.

·       Understanding of residential finish materials, furnishings and specifications.

·       Ability to communicate effectively, positively and productively with principal, design team and clients both verbally and in writing.

·       Candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

·       Exceptional attention to detail, time-management skills, and meeting deadlines.

·       Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle.

Responsibilities:

·       Prepare drawings and renderings.

·       Prepare client proposals and presentations.

·       Oversee all aspects of design projects from inception to installation.

·       Develop and maintain project timelines, budget and all related schedules.

·       Solicit bids, place orders, schedule and track deliveries.

·       Act as liaison between client, architect, contractors, vendors and fabricators. 

·       Record and issue detailed notes for all client meetings and site visits.

·       Communicate project timelines and provide clients with regular updates.

·       Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google suite, Canva, accounting software and project management software.

·       Maintain design library.

·       This job will require lifting samples and some lightweight furniture pieces.
